Chile Blog

Well, here's another chile blog in what I'm sure is probably like the 1,000th forum/blog/site on the internet.

We'll be updating this blog with info, pictures, stories, etc... as they become available. We'll also answer any questions and if we can't find the answer, maybe we can refer you to other sites that may be able to help you with your particular question or problem.

Keep tuned!

  1. Don't underestimate the blog. Truly "friendly" and "generous" pepper lovers/growers will find this blog and share advice as well as share seeds without regard to membership time as a pre-qualifier.

We have also been around the block enough to identify those that would want something for nothing.

I'm looking forward to meeting serious chili growers without attitude or self determined status on other chili sites.

I'm also looking forward to posting recipes and getting my pepper growing problems answered.

Thanks for this blog mi hermano.

    1. Well, hopefully more people start coming around. I've had enough of forums and their little posse's and BS rules made for some while others can break them and get away with it. Those forums show a total lack of respect for the newer members. Anyhow, let's just wait and see what happens. If more people come around, then I'll keep it up, if not maybe I'll just merge it into another one of my blogs, etc...

  2. They will come around. The other site(s)got stale with the same old peeps posting the same old stuff. But that is all in the past.

I have a question that I hope you, or anyone who may venture here can help me out with. This was the first year growing Fatalii. They have become my favorite pepper. They smell citrusy and they bite like wasps. I'm no super hot nuclear pod eater. Will someone invent hot pepper pod air fresheners already?

Two fatalii pods had worms inside them. You could see them through the pods, but there was no entry hole in the pod or the stem. The worms were in the flesh, just inside the skin, eating tunnels in the flesh. There was absolutely NO entry hole anywhere. Now when I dry pods and I don't need the seeds, I cut them in half just to make sure there are no stow-a-ways inside! They were white, very small, and had a dark head on them. No other pepper pods had this issue either.

Do you, or does anyone else, know what they are and how to stop them?

    Thanks.
